The Florence Marathon is Italy’s second most popular race, trailing only the Rome Marathon. It’s a fast marathon route through centuries of historical buildings and countryside.

You’ll start and finish at the magnificent Piazza Duomo, passing by iconic sights like Cathedral Square, Ponte Vecchio, and the Majestic Piazza Sante Croce. The asphalt covers the majority of the route.

Thousands of runners take part in this spectacular marathon each year. It is suitable for runners of all fitness levels, with a time limit of 6 hours.

Florence is an ideal place to sightsee and explore while also participating in a marathon event, with so much to see and do. Our team members will be on hand to assist you during your trip to Florence, allowing you to focus on the race and your week in Italy.

I Run the Globe chose the Croce Di Malta Hotel for your stay in Florence.

The Hotel Croce di Malta is just a few steps from the Arno River and the Santa Maria Novella train station. The church of the same name is one of the four corners of an ideal triangle of art that connects Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Duomo (Start and finish line of the marathon), all of which are within a few minutes’ walk.

Breakfast is included in our packages every day of your stay.

A swimming pool and a roof terrace are also available at the hotel.
